The Kiosk Factory is proud to be North America 's most innovative kiosk designer and the only builder of truly modular specification-grade kiosks for industrial and exterior use.

How have we attained this status? The explanation lies in our unique approach to the kiosk industry. Recognizing that no two applications are the same, we listen to your requirements and respond with well-conceived products. Talented designers, investments made in design technology and in-house prototyping capability combine with our experience to deliver leading-edge products that work.

If you have an industrial control or data access problem, a POS bottleneck or customer service issue, please take the time to read through the resources on our website and speak to us about the possibilities. We are happy to share our experience and understanding of this powerful new technology.

Our products fall in to three main categories:

1. Heavy-duty field-upgradeable kiosks based on the MPK (Multi Purpose Kiosk) modular kiosk building system.

2. Architectural and institutional grade branded custom and character kiosks for high traffic, demanding, public environments.

3. Head-turning interactive POP displays for retail environments.

History
The Kiosk Factory combines the retail, architectural and exhibit design experience of our parent company, Feature Factory Design / Build, with the skills of in-house industrial designers, engineers, high-level programmers and hardware integrators. Feature Factory Design / Build (established 1984) is Canada’s leading interactive exhibit company, and has been building kiosks since 1992.

Our best-known project to date is a nation-wide deployment of 600 ticket machines that succeeded in eliminating line-ups in the theatres of the Famous Players (Viacom) chain. This revolutionary program raised the bar of customer expectations, providing the chain with a key competitive advantage in a crowded marketplace.

2003 / 2004 projects include:

  • Architectural-grade kiosks that efficiently process RFID tagged books in public libraries
  • Exterior-grade modular kiosks that provide quick access to drawings and manuals on the plant floor of nuclear generating stations
  • Both interior and exterior ticketing equipment for the US market using flat screens and folded-stock ticket printers
  • Visitor processing stations at the entrances to General Electric's world headquarters
  • Public information terminals for transit shelters in one of the world's greatest cities

Dependability
Our automated ticketing systems have the best uptime in the kiosk industry, with a record of 100% availability since 1996. We can also boast that 95% of the kiosks and POS systems we have deployed since 1994 are still in use. The Kiosk Factory builds on this experience to focus on mission critical projects that deliver cost savings, improved customer service and process streamlining to our clients.
